F/V Cape Cleare is a troller. We fish with one or two people on-board, rigging tall poles that spread the gear out so that we can trail up to fifty lures off six main lines.

Built in Tacoma Washington of Douglas fir and Indiana white oak, F/V Cape Cleare’s sea-worthy design and massive construction suit the challenging conditions of the North Pacific Ocean.

A seasoned warrior of the once traditional Northwest wooden salmon-fishing fleet, Cape Cleare is as competitive today as when she was built over half a century ago.
